Escrow
Escrow means a neutral third party holds money and documents until everyone has done what the contract requires. Cornerstone holds the funds and papers for your deal and releases them when the conditions are met.

Who it is for
Buyers, sellers, lenders, realtors and attorneys on residential and commercial deals.
What Cornerstone does
- Receive funds and documents for the transaction and keep a record of every dollar in and out.
- Confirm that the conditions of the contract are met before anything is released.
- Release funds and documents at closing, to the right people, in the right amounts.
- Show the full accounting on the settlement statement.
What you need to bring or do
- The signed contract and the names of everyone involved.
- Funds sent the way we instruct, and only after you have confirmed the instructions by phone.
- Any documents the contract says go into escrow.
Confirm wire instructions by phone
Criminals send fake emails that look like they come from title companies, with account numbers that are not ours. Treat any emailed change to wire instructions as suspicious until you have confirmed it by phone. Call us at 614.228.6135 before you send money.
